Ministry

The Prayer Room is a developing 24/7 prayer furnace that belongs to the Church of Dallas-Ft. Worth and not to any one congregation. Our staff raises their own support as missionaries and runs our missions base providing a place of corporate prayer and training to the region. People come from all across the DFW area to attend our worship led prayer meetings and workshops.  Our prayer teams comprise of members from dozens of different churches with visitors coming from all over the various ministries in the regions. Our goal is to exalt Jesus night & day and to see corporate intercession arise for the things on God’s heart.  We have built live worship/prayer teams that use the scriptures as a prayer guide. We call this the Harp & Bowl model (Re. 5:8), which enables us to focus our prayers on the things the Lord describes in His Word.

Our missions base runs 7 days a week and is open to all. We offer daily corporate prayer meetings, weekly corporate worship & teaching times (Encounter Services), small discussion groups on various house of prayer themes (HOP Roundtables), conferences, prophecy rooms, evangelism, workshops, internships, a music academy, a Bible school and staff opportunities at various levels of involvement.

History

We began meeting daily for prayer in September 13th, 2005 after the Lord spoke clearly to our leadership team about starting morning prayer meetings 7 days a week at 5am.  Those meetings began rather humbly in our director’s living room with just a few committed intercessors and we soon added a daily 7pm prayer meeting, totaling 14 per week. There we continued for 3 years as the Lord gave us direction that we were to become a literal night and day prayer furnace and that we were also to contend for God to raise up 24/7 prayer all across the region.  We learned a lot in those years; about what works and what doesn’t, about prayer, ourselves, and God’s calling on this house.  On September 13th, 2008 we moved into our first facility – a house we bought and remodeled where we ran a shuttle service back and forth from a vacant lot for each of our 19 corporate prayer meetings.  It was tough to pull off, but the Lord gave us grace for the next 2 years as we learned to be faithful with little.  We have since moved into a new spacious facility in the center of Pantego, Texas where we hope to fulfill and sustain night & day prayer.
